You are about to E-file a 2026 (pay 2027) Form-130 with the Elkhart County Assessor's office, know that the normal window for filing value petitions on any previous year's assessment has passed. For ease of processing, the following form includes Section I & II of the Indiana State Appeal Form 130, which are the only portions used by the vast majority of petitioners each year contesting their value.

Provide an email which you will monitor for communications pertaining to your petition with us. Indiana's appeal process hinges upon the good-faith gesture and engagement of both parties to review the accuracy of the property and pursue market value-in-use; without engagement the process cannot achieve anything.


To attach documents to your appeal, left of the form is a paperclip emblem - use that or you can email support documents after the fact to assessor@elkhartcounty.com and note the property and the appeal it needs added to.

Know most will recieve two emails upon filing, one will be signature confirmation and the second will be confirmation submission (this is your receipt of filing). The one will also have a link to some questions which if filled out, will greatly assist in the appeals' process and may even result in a conclusion quicker.

We can provide a link directly to you for filing such a petition.
